021/2013 – Cutting and re-cutting

The confirmation that ditch 7, so far of chalcolithic chronology, cuts ditch 8. The limits of ditch 7, marked by the stones, are cutting in a curve the layers of elongated deposition of pottery shards that characterize the filling of the Late Neolithic ditch 8. One of the stones is a mini standing stone.

A confirmação de que o fosso 7, até agora de cronologia exclusivamente calcolítica, corta o fosso 8. Os limites do fosso 7, marcados pelas pedras, cortam num trajecto em curva os níveis de deposições alongadas de fragmentos cerâmicos que caracterizam o enchimento do fosso 8, do Neolítico Final. Um das pedras é uma míni estela-menhir.

 

Inside ditch 7 is also confirmed the existence of what seems to be a re-cutting of a small ditch in the previous filling sediments. This re-cut was then filled with stones, some pottery and faunal remains.

Dentro do fosso 7 está também confirmada a presença do que parece ser um recorte de um pequeno fosso nos sedimentos do enchimento prévio. Este pequeno recorte foi depois preenchido por pedras, alguma cerâmica e restos de fauna.
